Youth Camps

Our Youth Camps are an immersive experience designed to spark a lifelong passion for fly fishing, rivers, and the intricate ecosystems they support. We're thrilled to share our knowledge and enthusiasm with your children, guiding them through hands-on activities that blend the thrill of fly fishing with the wonders of scientific discovery and environmental stewardship.

Day Camps

  • Each day is packed with engaging activities that cater to a variety of interests and learning styles:

    • Fly Fishing: Learn the art of fly fishing, from casting techniques to identifying hatches and selecting the right flies.

    • Entomology: Discover the fascinating world of insects, their role in the ecosystem, and their importance as a food source for fish.

    • Ecosystem Sciences: Explore the interconnectedness of aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems, learning about water quality, riparian habitats, and the life cycles of various organisms.

    • Conservation Lesson: Understand the importance of conservation and responsible land and water use, and discover how to protect our precious natural resources.

    • June 1-5, 15-19

    • July 6-10, 27-31

    • August 3-6

    Cost: $1500 per Student

    • All fishing gear needed to participate

    • Custom Westfeather Hat

    • Sunhoodie and stickers

    • Lunch is not included

    • Pack List provided upon registration

    • Guides carry: First Aid, Water, Snacks, Sunscreen, Bug spray, Communication device

Overnight Camps

  • Each day is packed with engaging activities that cater to a variety of interests and learning styles:

    • Fly Fishing: Learn the art of fly fishing, from casting techniques to identifying hatches and selecting the right flies.

    • Hiking and Outdoor Skills: Explore nearby trails, learning essential hiking techniques, wilderness navigation, and Leave No Trace principles.

    • Camping Skills: Master the basics of camping, including setting up tents, building campfires, and cooking over an open flame.

    • Ecosystem Sciences: Explore the interconnectedness of aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems, learning about water quality, riparian habitats, and the life cycles of various organisms.

    • Conservation Lesson: Understand the importance of conservation and responsible land and water use, and discover how to protect our precious natural resources.

    • Food: We will do a food shop on the first day of the Camp. This will be educational for future trip planning and introduction to easy healthy camp meals.
